On 1 July 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at a conference to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, comprehensively reviewing the glorious history of the Communist Party of China's century-long struggle, profoundly explaining the great achievements created by the Party's unity and leadership of the Chinese people in its century-long struggle, profoundly expounding the great founding spirit of the Party, and calling on all Party members to strive for greater glory for the Party and the people.

In order to further educate and lead students to learn the history of the Party, feel the Party's benevolence, listen to the Party's words and follow the Party, on July 10, 2021, the Class of 2019 Rare Earth formed the "Continue the red bloodline, forge ahead to a new era" Party History Study and Practice Group and carried out a one-day study and practice activity on the history of the Party.

Learn Mandarin and become a Red heir

Language is an important communication tool for human beings to exchange ideas and transmit information, and it is closely related to all aspects of social life. Members of the team also carried out a "Learn Mandarin, Be a Red heir" campaign to promote Mandarin, conducting research in the streets and alleys and distributing elaborate brochures to promote Mandarin in the old revolutionary areas and help revitalise the countryside. "China is a multi-ethnic and multi-lingual country, with more than 80 languages spoken by 56 ethnic groups, that is, within the Chinese language there are also many serious dialectal differences, and different dialects cannot communicate with each other, affecting information communication and communicative effectiveness, and sometimes there are completely different dialects across the mountains. Therefore, in order to eliminate language divisions and communication barriers, promote ethnic and regional economic and cultural exchanges, maintain national unity, promote national unity and advance social progress, it is imperative to promote Mandarin." Geng Yangyang, a member of the practice group, said this at the end of the research.

Red pottery is brought to the countryside and labour education is brought to life

In the afternoon of 10 July, the team members used their professional knowledge to carry out the activity " Red pottery is brought to the countryside and labour education is brought to life" in a local square in Jinggang Mountain. The team members guided the passers-by to make exquisite pottery works, and also invited the nearby children to join in the pottery making session.

The team held an exhibition of pottery works to celebrate the centenary of China's birth and to remember the red heart, showcasing a number of red-themed pottery works made by the team members using their professional knowledge. The exhibition attracted local people to stop by and watch the works, and the team members also gave a talk on pottery knowledge to the audience.

Members of the team also taught local children how to make pottery with light clay, allowing them to experience the charm of traditional culture. At the end, the team members took a group photo with the children and their works.

Red Songs Celebrate the Party, Singing for a New Journey

In order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, on the evening of July 10, the practice group went to the Hancui Pavilion in Tziping Town, Jinggangshan, and sang red songs together with the Jinggangshan Cultural Museum and the Jinggangshan Red Song and Dance Troupe, bringing a feast of red songs to the local people.

The members of the team combined their knowledge with the Red Song and Dance Troupe to perform classical works such as "Ying Shan Hong", "The Strange Soldier at the Fourth Crossing of Chishui" and "Singing the Motherland" to the local people. The response was overwhelming, attracting many people to stop and listen to the songs, who spontaneously sang along in unison "Without the Communist Party, there would be no new China ------" and other red songs to send their blessings to the Communist Party of China for its centenary. On the calm lake, the party emblem shone brightly and the melody of the red songs floated in the mountains and hearts.

"This was my first visit to Jinggangshan and the first time I learnt about the history of the Party in the form of teaching red songs, which allowed me to learn about the history behind each of those red songs we are familiar with. It was an honour to sing the Red Song for the local people and to send literature and art to the countryside. In the process of learning and singing, I felt more deeply the greatness and glory of the Party, and understood more about how fortunate we are today and how we have to work harder to shoulder the responsibility of youth and let the red gene be passed on from generation to generation." said Yang Qian, a member of the practice group.

A hundred years of journey

A hundred years of heart and soul

Today's happy life

is the result of countless Communist Party members

sacrificed their lives and blood

Little by little for us

Let us all wish the Party a hundred years of success

Let's start a new journey with a vigorous attitude

Let us embark on a new journey
