In the afternoon of May 24, Rare Earth Institute held a party committee theoretical central group (expanded) study session at the former residence of Guo Dali. Yang Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, was present to give guidance, Yang Shengbiao, Director of the Retired Staff Service Centre and Secretary of the Retired Staff Party Committee, and An Guihuan, Deputy Director of the Office of the Party Committee (President) of the university, observed and gave guidance. Liang Tongxiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Rare Earth College, Qi Xiaopeng, Vice President, Li Zhen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, as well as the secretaries of the branches and party building organizers attended the meeting, and Wang Hang, Dean of the College, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liang Tongxiang.
Liang Tongxiang led the participants to revisit the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech at the forum on promoting the rise of central regions held in Jiangxi, and conveyed the spirit of documents such as "the proposal of the CPC Jiangxi University of Science and Technology Committee on the formulation of the 14th five-year development plan and 2035 vision of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology " and "several opinions of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology on further strengthening the construction of first-class disciplines in the field of rare earth to better serve the high-quality development of rare earth industry".
Qi Xiaopeng conveyed and led the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech during his visit to the People' s University of China, Yi Lianhong's speech at the symposium on in-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on observing Jiangxi and the collective study of the provincial party committee's theoretical study centre group (expanded), etc.
Li Zhen made an exchange speech combining his own learning experience. He said that the Rare Earth Institute is an important reform pilot for the construction of world-class disciplines in the field of rare earths by the Party Committee of the university, and the Institute should make efforts from two aspects: building a rare earth functional materials innovation centre with high standard and cultivating innovative talents in rare earth functional materials with high standard, so as to build a "comprehensive strength of national first-class, industry-leading role, international leading in special fields The college will contribute to the construction of a high-level university with "national first-class comprehensive strength, leading role in industry and international leading in special fields".
Yang Shengbiao commented that the study session was well organized, with a distinct theme, diverse forms and rich contents, especially around the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Jiangxi, combined with strengthening the construction of world-class disciplines of rare earth, which provided guiding ideas to promote the high-quality development of the Rare Earth Institute.
Yang Bin concluded his speech by pointing out that the study meeting held in the former residence of Guo Dali was a profound spiritual baptism for party comrades, and the meeting had a distinctive theme and outstanding features. General Secretary Xi Jinping's high level of concern for the rare earth industry has created an excellent external environment for the development of the college. The Rare Earth Instittute should combine this study session to clarify development goals, identify development gaps, clarify development ideas, implement development measures, strengthen resource features, create a special area for the discipline, and better promote the world-class discipline in the field of rare earths to achieve high-quality development. Yang Bin put forward four requirements on the construction and development of the Rare Earth Institute: first, to build a strong collective, cohesive development of the people; second, to use the red resources, inherit the red gene; third, based on the rare earth field, run a good characteristic college; fourth, the implementation of strict governance of the party, to create a clean institute.
The participants also visited the former residence of Guo Dali and attended the opening of the Rare Earth 211 class on moral education.
